Fox Woods Equine offers computed radiology (CR), which provides advanced technology in equine digital radiographic imaging. The image is generated onto a special film inside a cassette. The film is then processed by the CR reader that decodes the image and transfers it to a computer. The film is then erased and available for another image. Images generated by the CR reader are viewable on the computer in less than 1 minute. Once transfered to the computer the image can then be adjusted for brightness and contrast. The image can also be magnified, rotated, and adjusted for detail. In cases of podiatry evaluations, measurements can be made on the images giving the farrier and veterinarian useful information to correct imbalances of the foot.
Fox Woods Equine is able to provide the benefits of portable radiography to our ambulatory clients as well as in-clinic care patients.
